1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TruckPilot ("the app", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use TruckPilot.
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.
2. Who Can Use TruckPilot
TruckPilot is available to:
- Canadian truckers, drivers and owner-operators aged 18 or older
- Fleet owners and their authorized drivers
- Anyone who creates a valid account
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
- You must provide accurate and truthful information when signing up
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- Notify us immediately at support@truckpilot.ca if you suspect unauthorized access
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any illegal purpose
- Enter false or misleading load, expense or payroll data
- Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer or disrupt the service
- Share your account with unauthorized users
- Use the app to harass or harm other users
5. Plans and Payments
- The Beta plan is free with limited features
- Paid plans (Hauler at $9.99/mo, Owner Pro at $24.99/mo) are billed monthly in Canadian dollars
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- No refunds for partial months
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
6. Your Data
You own all data you enter into TruckPilot. We do not claim ownership of your load records, expenses or financial information. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.
7. AI Features
TruckPilot uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) for features like receipt scanning, load document reading and the AI assistant. AI responses are for reference only and should not replace professional financial or legal advice. Always verify AI-generated information before using it for tax filing or legal purposes.
8. Limitation of Liability
TruckPilot is provided "as is." We are not liable for:
- Errors in AI-generated content or calculations
- Data loss due to technical failures
- Financial decisions made based on app reports
- Service interruptions or downtime
Our maximum liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.
9. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notification of significant changes. Continued use of TruckPilot after changes means you accept the updated terms.
